I was messaging my sister today and I mused how funny it is that we go through some things with our blinkers on.
“Blinkers?”
“Like the horsies,” I wrote.
Blinders is what I meant, even though, until she called me on it, I would have sworn that horses wear blinkers. (It makes it so much easier for the old-order Mennonite traffic.)

I hear you loud and clear sista!
you probably just need to play more WordTwist.
It's probably just the time of year, as well as the cycle of creativity. . . don't fight it, good things are percolating just below the surface!
I'm sure I've heard blinkers used that way too. If I had heard you though I'd have assumed you mean you were like that old farmer in the truck who drove for 10 miles, slowly, with his right blinker on. (Or maybe I'm the only one who has been stuck behind that guy.)
Horses definitely wear blinkers here in the UK...
I get sort of aphasic when I write TOO much. The other day my mom was here, staying over, and I was trying to show her how to set the alarm clock in the guest room.
Except I completely lost the term "alarm clock."
The only word I had was "mustard." I knew it was wrong, but I couldn't get the right ones.
So, I'm with you. I must have had blinkers on!
I say let it rest and words will return. Or set your mustard for later and get some rest.
